Halotherapy — salt room

Salt room sessions: a microclimate for the airways, and quiet time for yourself.

The salt room at the RUTA center: resting in a chair among salt-covered walls

The salt room holds a microclimate of fine salt aerosol at steady humidity. You simply sit in a chair and breathe — nothing is done to you, which is why both adults and children tolerate the session easily.

Halotherapy is normally prescribed as a course and outside a flare-up. It does not replace prescribed treatment; it supports it, and is particularly useful while recovering from a respiratory infection.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

How many halotherapy sessions are needed?

Halotherapy works as a course — single visits amount to little more than a quiet rest. The number of sessions is set by the doctor according to the state of your airways.

Can children visit the salt room?

Yes, children tolerate halotherapy well — nothing active is required of them, they simply spend the session in the room. A doctor’s consultation before the course is still needed.

Who should not have halotherapy?

Acute infections with fever, coughing up blood, severe respiratory failure, cancer, and flare-ups of chronic disease. The final decision rests with the center’s doctor.
